Atalanta forward Papu Gomez will certainly leave Atalanta in this month’s transfer window, with many top Italian clubs including Inter keen to secure his signature, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 32-year-old Argentinian forward, who is contracted to the Bergamo based club until 2022, has been training individually recently despite being fully fit, due to a complete relationship collapse between himself and coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

The club will continue talks with Gasperini and Gomez’s agent Giuseppe Riso over the next few days, attempting to work out what will happen in this month’s transfer window.

The position and requests of Atalanta will dictate the moves of the interested parties, which includes Inter, AC Milan, Roma and Napoli.

The 32-year-old Gomez has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1122 minutes.

In that time, he has scored five goals and provided four assists.
