Former Juventus midfielder Giancarlo Marocchi discussed Inter’s impressive 6-2 win over Crotone earlier today whilst speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia after the game.

“I think Inter are working as they are, without changing anything. We just need to resolve the Vidal situation, who has been creating problems lately.

“But for the rest the team should be kept as it is. Lukaku is the director of attack, like Ibrahimovic is for Milan.”

The 27-year-old Romelu Lukaku, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1484 minutes.

In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided three assists.

The former Manchester United forward is an incredibly key part of coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system, and when he missed two games earlier this season due to a muscle injury, his absence was heavily felt.

In his first 50 appearances for the Milanese club, Lukaku has scored 35 goals and provided five assists, forming a formidable partnership with Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez and becoming one of the top strikers in the world.

Inter are currently second in the Serie A table after 15 games, sitting on 36 points, one behind rivals and league leaders AC Milan, who beat Benevento this evening.
