Inter coach Antonio Conte can consider the returns of midfielders Matias Vecino and Stefano Sensi as new signings, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 25-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has only started one game so far this campaign, against Benevento in the second match of the season.
Since then, his campaign has been marred by muscular problems, only showing positive signals by mid-December.
In regard to the 29-year-old Uruguayan midfielder, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2022, he was expected to leave in this month’s transfer window, but now will be a part of the 51-year-old Italian coach’s tactical system.
Vecino has not made an appearance since July, when he had knee surgery, but is close to re-joining the squad.
Finally, Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has recovered from the adductor problem that forced him to miss the last three games of 2020.
