Inter linked forward Papu Gomez will be dropped for the third match in a row against Sassuolo today, as a January departure from Atalanta looks incredibly likely, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 32-year-old Argentine forward, who is contracted to the Bergamo based club until 2022, has experienced a complete relationship breakdown with coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and has now been dropped from the last three consecutive games.

Gomez’s departure from Atalanta is destined to take place this month, with many clubs interested in acquiring the Argentine forward.

For his part, the 32-year-old would like to stay in Italy where his family have settled, making a move to a Milanese club attractive, considering the proximity to Bergamo.

Gomez has been training at different times from the rest of the squad and is firmly estranged from Gasperini.
