Inter’s January transfer window has closed before it has even opened, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the Suning group cannot look to make large investments in this month’s transfer window, and is currently working on both refinancing bonds and searching for new investors.
This has already been communicated to coach Antonio Conte, who will now have to make do with what he has, hence the reintegration of Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino into the Nerazzurri squad.
The Scudetto is not obligatory this season, but remains a goal for the Milanese club. The 51-year-old Italian coach will try his best regardless and believes in the project.
One risk that Inter face is that they might not find a buyer for unneeded Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen. Selling or loaning out the 28-year-old would help the club to both lower their wage bill and remove a part of the team that easily generates controversy.
