Inter have been linked today with a surprise January move for Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

As per today’s print edition of La Repubblica, Antonio Conte is looking for an experienced striker to be brought in to bolster his attacking options.

Graziano Pelle, who recently became a free agent after his contract with Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng expired, could well be an option for the Nerazzurri.

But Pelle is not the only option because Inter could spring a surprise by going in for Dzeko, who they chased for the majority of the summer transfer window in 2019 before the Bosnian signed a new deal at Roma.

Conte, as per this report, would like to work with Pelle again after the success that they had when working together during Conte’s stint in charge of the Italian national team a few years ago.

Dzeko, 34, would nonetheless represent a much more prestigious signing but it remains to be seen how Roma would respond to any approach from the Nerazzurri.
