Inter Striker Romelu Lukaku Could Be Involved Against Sampdoria, Italian Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio Reports

Romelu Lukaku could feature for Inter in their clash with Sampdoria on Wednesday as his thigh injury sustained yesterday is not serious, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

A report on the noted Italian reporter’s website, states Lukaku trained separately from his Inter team-mates today, having been forced off after 75 minutes during the 6-2 win over Crotone.

Inter will only discover the true entity of the Belgian international’s injury once they have completed a series of tests tomorrow, but the injury is not thought to be worrying.

Depending on the outcome of said tests, it cannot be excluded that Lukaku is included in the match-day squad for the trip to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, perhaps starting on the bench.

This season the 27-year-old, who is in the form of his life, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date.

During his time on the park, which totals just under 1500 minutes, the former Manchester United forward has scored 16 goals and provided a total of three assists for his teammates.
