Inter cannot afford a January move for Liverpool striker Divock Origi, according to Italian media reports today.

The Belgian national team forward has been offered to the Nerazzurri after struggling for game time under Jurgen Klopp this season.

As per today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport, however, a deal is currently unworkable, even on a loan basis, because Origi would increase Inter’s wage bill and they cannot afford that.

Everything could be different if Inter were to offload Christian Eriksen and perhaps Andrea Pinamonti, the latter of whom has interest from Benevento, Bologna and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Origi is not the only forward who has been offered to Inter as of late with newly-made free agent Graziano Pelle having also been offered.

The report from the Rome-based news outlet does however go on to add that the Nerazzurri have no interest in the 35-year-old, who impressed for Italy’s national team under Antonio Conte and last played for Chinese side Shandong Luneng.
