Paris Saint-Germain’s new head coach Mauricio Pochettino refused to be drawn on rumours linking Christian Eriksen with a move from Inter to the French giants today.

Eriksen has been strongly linked with a potential switch to the Ligue 1 side, especially since was Pochettino appointed as the pair worked together with great success at Tottenham Hotspur for several years.

Speaking at his first press conference since his arrival, Pochettino remained tight-lipped on transfer speculation but did not deny the rumours regarding the Danish international.

“This is not the time to comment on rumours, I just arrived a few days ago,” he said, as quoted by French news outlet L’Equipe.

“We are monitoring the recovery of our injured players, I am talking with sporting director Leonardo and it is true that a club like PSG is looking at all the possibilities it has, all the more so with this complicated period linked to the health crisis.”

Eriksen has been widely tipped with an exit from Inter this month and a number of recent reports have suggested that the Nerazzurri are now open to loaning him out, provided that his wages are paid in full by the other club.

This season the 28-year-old has made 12 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored zero goals and also failed to provide any assists for his teammates.
