Inter will soon finalise a new four-year contract for Stefan de Vrij, according to reports in Italy tonight.
Transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla reported that the Nerazzurri held talks with the centre-back’s agent Mino Raiola in October which is expected to bear fruit in the coming weeks.
De Vrij’s current deal with Inter expires in 2023 but his new deal would tie him to the club until 2025.
He has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s side this season.
De Vrij joined Inter on a free transfer from Lazio in the summer of 2018, having controversially conceded a penalty against his future club on the final day of the season in a 3-2 win for the Nerazzurri.
He has represented the club 101 times since, scoring six goals and providing six assists.
Conte will once again name De Vrij in his starting XI tomorrow when Inter play Sampdoria in Serie A at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Victory over the Blucerchiati would extend their winning run in the league to nine games.
