A British investment firm have shown an interest in acquiring an ownership stake in Inter according to an Italian media report today.
In today’s print edition, Italian daily newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore claim that BC Partners have shown an initial interest in acquiring shares in the Nerazzurri club.
The situation is described as being an evolving one by the business news outlet and it remains to be seen what the outcome of the possible meetings will be.
The report goes on to explain that it will be important to reconcile the interests of the fund in negotiation with Inter’s majority shareholders Suning and minority shareholder, LionRock Capital.
Goldman Sachs should take care of things, with Goldman Sachs having been close to Suning for some time now.
Suning are looking for the €375 million bond, which is due to expire in 2022, to be refinanced, as well as new resources.
It cannot be excluded that the Chinese e-commerce giants could look for a capital increase as well seeing as what has happened in the past few months due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
