Inter have widened their search for a new striker to bolster their attacking options following the defeat to Sampdoria today.

Gazzetta dello Sport, via their online edition, report that it has become more apparent that Inter need a new striker because when Romelu Lukaku is not on the pitch, the problems increase for the Nerazzurri.

Before being able to sign a new striker, it is essential that young striker Andrea Pinamonti leaves the club to make way for a new addition.

Benevento are in for the Italian youth national team player, whilst Bologna have also shown an interest in acquiring him.

When it comes to strikers Inter could acquire, the report explains that interest in signing Eder is non-existent from Inter whilst Graziano Pelle could be an option they pursue.

Pelle could have more attractive offers compared to what Inter could offer him though with them unlikely to be  able to offer anything more than a six month deal.

Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud has also been linked with Inter but he is unlikely to be let go from the Premier League side for nothing and this not only complicates things for Inter but also Juventus who have shown an interest.

Inter could use cash raised through the sale of Christian Eriksen to finance the move for a striker but they have currently received no real offers for the Denmark international.

Inter coach Antonio Conte really likes Gervinho and whilst he is no longer deemed untouchable at Parma, Inter need money to sign him and the same applies for Papu Gomez at Atalanta.
