Inter are preparing to send forward Sebastiano Esposito on loan to Serie B side Pescara for the remainder of the season, according to Gianluca Di Marzio tonight.

Esposito spent the first half of the season at SPAL in Italy’s second tier but has returned to the Nerazzurri after falling out of favour there, remaining an unused substitute for each of their last five games.

Antonio Conte does not seem willing to keep him at the club, despite all reports suggesting he wants a new fourth-choice striker in the January transfer window.

Esposito, 18, will instead move back into the second division where he will be coached by Roberto Breda in Abruzzo.

Pescara lie 15th in Serie B after 17 games, having picked up form since Breda replaced former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Oddo as head coach.

Esposito made 14 appearances for Inter last season, including an impressive second-half display against Borussia Dortmund in a 2-0 win during the UEFA Champions League group stage.
