Parma forward Gervinho remains Inter’s preferred option to reinforce the attacking department in this transfer window, according to an Italian media report today.

It has been reported that the Nerazzurri could bring back their former player Eder from China, but a report in the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport suggests there is not much interest from Inter in the 34-year-old as their favourite is Gervinho.

The report from the Milan-based news outlet goes on to highlight that the signing of a new striker ultimately comes down to what happens with young forward Andrea Pinamonti, who has barely featured this season.

Benevento and Bologna among many other clubs have shown an interest in signing the Italy under-21 international and it remains to be seen if these clubs take their interest further and make an offer.

The current impression is that if something is to happen, it will be last minute.
