Benevento are hoping to agree a deal with Inter in the coming days to sign Andrea Pinamonti on loan, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The newly-promoted outfit are said to be prepared to offer the Nerazzurri a loan with an option to buy worth €14-15 million.

Pinamonti has had interest from numerous clubs in Serie A, such as Bologna and Crotone, as well as clubs overseas such as Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

But, as per Di Marzio on tonight’s Calciomercato program on Sky Sport Italia, it appears Pippo Inzaghi’s side will win the race to acquire the Italy under-21 international, who was widely expected to leave Inter in the January transfer window.

Antonio Conte wants a more experienced fourth-choice striker to act as an understudy for Romelu Lukaku, but Inter must offload Pinamonti first in order to create space in the squad and on the wage bill.

Pinamonti has made just three appearances in all competitions this season, all of which have come as a substitute.
