Christian Eriksen can leave Inter in January on a simple loan deal if nobody wants to buy him, as confirmed by Sky Sport Italia tonight.

Antonio Conte wants to sign an understudy to Romelu Lukaku but Inter must offload players first in order to create space and funds.

Andrea Pinamonti could leave on loan with an option to buy and is attracting interest from Bologna and Eintracht Frankfurt.

But Inter’s transfer business in January will mostly depend on what happens with Eriksen, who is out of Conte’s plans.

Once they have offloaded the midfielder they will decide whether to go for a striker, a midfielder or both.

Luca Marchetti told the TV channel that the hardest thing for clubs to do this month is recoup money, with everyone struggling economically due to Covid-19.

It is especially hard to do so when you are trying to shift players who aren’t central to a club’s project, like Eriksen.

“Clubs that want those players will come calling in the last few weeks of the window and they’ll want a discounted price,” Marchetti explained.

As far as attacking options are concerned, Eder is the cheapest option for the Nerazzurri as ‘economically he would hardly change anything’.
