Inter recorded their first defeat away from home since March when they lost to Sampdoria on Wednesday, as highlighted by stats company Opta.
The Nerazzurri’s eight-game winning streak in Serie A came to an end with a 2-1 defeat at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, in which two former players in Antonio Candreva and Keita Balde came back to haunt them.
The last time Inter had lost in Serie A away from San Siro prior to this match was the 2-0 loss at Juventus in what proved to be the final game of the 2019-20 season before it was put on hold for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
