Inter management are not in a hurry to close any deals for strikers in January, according to an Italian media report.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, the Nerazzurri are not accelerating on any of their targets because the transfer window has three weeks to run and many opportunities could arise in that time.

In any case Inter must offload Andrea Pinamonti, who has been subject to great interest from Benevento among others, before being able to pursue a new forward.

The club are confident that Pinamonti will leave and Eder, whose contract is expiring and will leave Jiangsu Suning, appears to be the easiest player to acquire.

The Italian-Brazilian striker is keen to return to Italy and is also willing to return to Inter where he would be reunited with former Italian national team coach Antonio Conte.

The 34-year-old would not be a first choice option but is likely to be able to guarantee a greater contribution than that of Pinamonti.

Alternatives to Eder include Parma’s Gervinho and Atalanta’s Papu Gomez but deals for both player are very complicated at this moment, with the former now likely to stay in Reggio-Emilia following Roberto D’Aversa’s reappointment as head coach.

Graziano Pelle, who is a free agent following his release from Shandong Luneng, is also an option being taken under consideration.

The report adds that for the summer, Arkadiusz Milik is a striker target on a free transfer, provided he does not leave Napoli this month.
