Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio is facing at least a month on the sideline due to injury according to an Italian media report today.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, the Italian full-back, who picked up a knee injury in Wednesday’s loss to Sampdoria, will be out for the next 30-40 days.

Inter were able to breathe a sigh of relief yesterday when tests showed there was no fractures or need for operation with D’Ambrosio having sustained a left medial collateral strain.

In about 10 days’ time, Inter will reassess the condition of the former Torino player, who, in the meantime, will start physiotherapy and conservative therapy to help him recover.

The report goes on to add that Matias Vecino is meanwhile nearing a return to action.

The Uruguayan has already trained partially with his teammates lately but will be able to train fully with them starting from next week. He could potentially be back in the squad for the cup game versus Fiorentina.

Romelu Lukaku has meanwhile perfectly recover from the injury he picked up against Crotone and he will lead the line for Inter versus Roma on Sunday afternoon.
