Inter might try to bring Federico Dimarco back to the club this month to bolster the club’s defensive options, an Italian media report claims today.

As per Friday’s print edition of Tuttosport, Dimarco, who is on loan at Hellas Verona with an option to buy worth €6 million, could come back to Inter sooner than this coming summer.

Hellas Verona could buy him outright but Inter have a counter-option and this report from the Turin paper claims that Inter will exercise it, that is if Dimarco does not come back to the club this month.

The Nerazzurri would explore the possibility of an early recall for the 23-year-old should they receive any offers for Ivan Perisic in the January transfer window.

Dimarco, who is a product of Inter’s youth academy, has had a great season working under Ivan Juric at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

He is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022-23 season and has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date this term.

In his time on the park, which totals just under 1400 minutes, he has scored one goal and provided three assists for his teammates.
