Inter boss Antonio Conte might be forced to try and involve Christian Eriksen in his plans to improve his attacking options, an Italian media report has claimed today.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport, it is evident that Inter struggle in the absence of star man Romelu Lukaku, who they are very much reliant on.
Inter lack multiple alternatives to their starting strike force of Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez and the fact Alexis Sanchez is Inter’s only alternative in the attack is a mystery, especially for a top club with the ambitions that Inter have.
Eriksen’s substitute appearance versus Sampdoria the other day could be a sign of a different attitude from Conte when it comes to tackling matches in which Inter struggle.
Conte preferred to bring on the very much out of favour Danish international rather than Stefano Sensi, and this could perhaps be a sign of Conte being resigned to Inter’s low cost transfer window and their ability to sell the 28-year-old.
Eriksen has been linked with several clubs but Inter have not had offers and faced with the prospect of having to continue together, Conte could try and utilise and work with Eriksen with more conviction than he has in the previous 12 months.
The Dane could be an alternative to Sensi to help improve Inter’s finishing and their dribbling.
