Inter defender Milan Skriniar was unhappy that the Nerazzurri failed to win away against Roma he told Italian broadcaster immediately after the game.
When speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, the Slovakian international central defender underlined that he was happy for how the team played but not with the decision to allow Roma’s equalizer.
The Slovakian international central defender contends that Gianluca Mancini hit him with an elbow when scoring the equalizing goal.
“We entered the pitch well in the second half, we played well. Then it is a shame that we were not able to win.
“However, in my opinion Mancini hit me with his elbow prior to scoring a goal. Unfortunately we can’t do anything, we are sorry for the missed chances because we could have won today.”
The former Sampdoria man, who scored the equalizer for Inter to tie the game at 1-1, was asked about his goal celebration which is a blowing kiss, and if it is dedicated to anyone special, to which he explained who it is dedicated to.
“It is for my daughter, then also for Pintus who said before the game that I would score today.”
Skriniar, then proceeded to talk about being an integral part of the team after a summer where he was rumored to leave.
“I have always trained well, the coach has given me a lot of confidence. Inter is a great squad, if you don’t have a good period, it is only normal that someone else plays because the squad is very strong.
“Then I am very happy to have re-discovered Conte’s faith in me.”
Milan Skriniar joined Inter in the summer of 2017 from Sampdoria and has since then featured 144 times across all competitions for the Nerazzurri scoing 6 goals in the process.
