Inter defender Milan Skriniar believes it is not easy to do what the Nerazzurri did and play well away against Roma but remains unhappy with the result, he told Italian broadcaster immediately after the game.

When speaking to InterTV, the Slovakian international central defender underlined that he was happy for his goal and for how the team played but not with the end result.

“I am happy for my goal but a bit unhappy over the draw. We created quite a bit in this game, we played the game pretty well, unfortunately we were unable to go home with the 3 points.

“Roma is a good team, it is not easy to come here and play the way we did. We played well and we can be happy about this even if we are unhappy about the result.

“We have to study what we did well as well as what we did wrong.”

The former Sampdoria man was asked what happened at halftime in the dressing room, as the Nerazzurri came out in the second half a vastly improved side in every way.

Skriniar, who scored the equalizer for Inter to tie the game at 1-1, was adamant nothing special happened but that the team improved on their first half performance, which he maintains was also good, only the second half was better.

“Nothing happened, we played well in the first half too. We were down a goal and we wanted to immediately put pressure on the.

“Unfortunately it didn’t go well from the point of view of the result for us.”

Milan Skriniar joined Inter in the summer of 2017 from Sampdoria and has since then featured 144 times across all competitions for the Nerazzurri scoing 6 goals in the process.
