Antonio Conte will not give his OK for Andrea Pinamonti to leave Inter for Benevento until the club have secured a replacement striker, according to an Italian media report today.

As per TuttoMercatoWeb, the Nerazzurri’s head coach cannot afford to let the striker finalise his loan move for now as he has not received assurances over the acquisition of a new fourth-choice striker if Pinamonti were to leave the club.

Pinamonti has also drawn links to a number of other clubs in recent weeks, including Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, but it appears he is destined to join Pippo Inzaghi in Campania.

For now, Conte has therefore blocked the departure of the Italian youth national team representative and this is not the only departure that he has blocked lately.

TuttoMercatoWeb go on to highlight their report from last week in which they stated Conte has blocked Matias Vecino from departing the Nerazzurri club as well and the decision has been communicated to the player, who will be utilised as soon as he recovers from injury.

Conte told reporters in no uncertain terms following yesterday’s draw at Roma that he does not expect Inter to complete any signings in January due to financial restrictions.
