Arturo Vidal should be available to Inter coach Antonio Conte for selection for Sunday’s Derby D’Italia against Juventus, according to an Italian media report.

The Chilean international underwent tests today to determine the severity of the thigh problem he sustained during yesterday’s 2-2 draw at Roma.

As per the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport tonight, despite being forced to come off at the Stadio Olimpico, Vidal did not sustain a serious injury and should be readily available for this weekend’s crunch match at San Siro.

The Milan based news outlet explain that it is unimaginable that Vidal would miss out on the opportunity to come up against his former employers in a match that could well act as a turning point for him in an Inter jersey.

Since his arrival at Inter from Barcelona, the former Bayern Munich player has not exactly lived up to expectations out on the field and has more often disappointed than he has left fans delighted with his performances.

In 19 appearances across all competitions, Vidal has contributed a total of two assists.
