Inter are likely to be offered the opportunity to sign many players for free between now and the end of the January transfer window, an Italian media report claims today.

Tuttosport, via their print edition, report that the Nerazzurri are still expected to do something this month, despite Antonio Conte’s clear comments yesterday that nothing will happen.

Inter could always potentially move for Jiangsu Suning’s Eder to bolster the team, with it now common knowledge that Conte would like a reinforcement in attack to replace the outgoing Andrea Pinamonti.

And the report from the Turin-based news outlet adds that situations which are currently not foreseeable could open up when it comes to players out of favour at their current clubs, such as Papu Gomez at Atalanta.

Conte and Inter’s management are said to be in perfect agreement that any signings, even if they come on a free transfer, must be functional to Conte’s ideas and strengthen the group of players currently at the club, otherwise it is better to keep things as they are.
