Achraf Hakimi has finally become a key figure in Antonio Conte’s Inter side after a slow start in Serie A, as highlighted by a report in the Italian media.

The Moroccan international has become the Nerazzurri’s third highest goal-scorer this season with six goals, behind only strikers Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, after he found the net again in yesterday’s 2-2 draw at Roma.

As per Corriere dello Sport’s print edition, Hakimi is now the team’s best attacking outlet behind the front two and what he is doing going forward should not be considered a surprise.

Hakimi is capable of shooting with both feet and four of his six goals have come with his weaker foot, having found the consistency in his performances that he lacked in the early stages of his Inter career.

The 22-year-old was in and out of the side early on as he tried to get to grips with Italian football but now he will only be on the bench when he needs to catch his breath and get some rest.

Since joining Inter from Real Madrid, Hakimi has six goal and five assists in 22 appearances.
