Inter coach Antonio Conte could play Christian Eriksen in tomorrow’s Coppa Italia clash away to, Fiorentina according to a report from an Italian broadcaster.

As per Sport Mediaset, it cannot be excluded that Eriksen will end up staying with Inter given the lack of money clubs have to spend due to the global pandemic.

The Nerazzurri’s management are still looking for someone to take Eriksen off of their hands, even on a loan basis, but the Denmark international’s €7.5 million net annual salary makes any sort of move, even a swap deal, difficult at best.

It is for this reason that Eriksen could be given a chance to play against La Viola by Conte, who has not used him all that often this season.

The 28-year-old has made 13 appearances across all competitions to date, very few of which have come as a starter, and in his time on the park, he has failed to make any goal contributions.

Inter could face city rivals AC Milan in the quarter-finals should they win tomorrow’s last 16 tie at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
