Inter are considering the possibility of bringing Federico Dimarco back to the club this summer, according to an Italian media report today.
CalcioMercato.com report that the Nerazzurri’s chief executive Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are thinking of talking with Hellas Verona, who currently have an option to buy Dimarco on a permanent basis.
The Gialloblu can buy Dimarco, who joined on a season-long loan from Inter last summer, for a sum of €4.5 million in the summer, but Inter can then exercise a counter-option which is set at €6 million.
The Italian full-back could well be the future for Antonio Conte’s side at left wing-back, a role which is currently occupied by veteran Ashley Young following the failed experiment with Dalbert.
Inter need to make an important investment in this role but the delicate moment the club is going through financially does not help them in this regard and this is why they are considering bringing Dimarco back.
This season Dimarco, 23, has made 18 appearances, in which he has scored two goals and provided three assists for teammates.
