Inter have recently been offered the chance to sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United, according to an Italian media report.

CalcioMercato.com claim that the Premier League giants offered the Nerazzurri the chance to sign the Englishman but reported that Inter were not interested, just like city rivals AC Milan, who were offered the chance to sign Lingard in the summer.

The report explains that Antonio Conte and Inter chief executive Beppe Marotta have been very clear that Inter must adopt a cautious approach on the transfer market due to the economic situation that they find themselves in, with no funds currently available for signings.

Lingard, 28, has fallen heavily out of favour at Manchester United this season, having been limited to just three appearances across all competitions under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with none of these appearances coming in the Premier League or UEFA Champions League.

In his 179 minutes on the field, the former Birmingham City loanee has not made any goal contributions.
