Inter Midfielder Matias Vecino Back In Training With Nerazzurri Teammates, Italian Broadcaster Reports

Matias Vecino has returned to training with the rest of his Inter teammates, according to an Italian broadcaster’s report this afternoon.

As per Sky Sport Italia, the Uruguayan is putting minutes back in his legs after missing the first half of the season due to a knee injury which required surgery.

Vecino has not featured for the Nerazzurri since a substitute appearance against Hellas Verona on 7 July and there is no indication as to when he will be fit to play for Antonio Conte again.

The 29-year-old is under contract at Inter until the end of next season and could nonetheless be an important reinforcement, with no room for the club to chase January signings as things stand.

Since joining Inter in a €20 million deal from Fiorentina in the summer of 2017, Vecino has made 96 appearances across all competitions for the club.

During his time on the field, he has scored 11 goals and provided six assists, including the goal that famously secured UEFA Champions League qualification for the Nerazzurri on the final day of the 2017-18 season against Lazio.
