Benevento continue to want to sign Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan but there are obstacles in their way, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, the newly-promoted club want to bolster their attack in January by acquiring the Italy under-21 international but there are two issues which are preventing a move from taking place.

The first obstacle is Pinamonti’s annual salary of €2 million net while the second is Inter’s unwillingness to let him leave the club without having a replacement lined up first.

Should they fail to manage to get a deal done for Pinamonti, Benevento will be ready to study alternatives with the report from the Milan-based news outlet claiming they have identified Cagliari’s Leonardo Pavoletti and Parma’s Andreas Cornelius as other transfer targets they could pursue.

This season Pinamonti has rarely featured for Inter with Antonio Conte limiting him to just three appearances in all competitions, all of which have come as a substitute.
