Inter have made an enquiry to Manchester United regarding a possible loan deal for midfielder Donny Van de Beek, according to an Italian media report today.

FCInterNews.it claim that Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has been in touch with the Premier League club in the past few days.

Van de Beek is not featuring regular for the current league leaders and could leave in order to ensure he does not lose his place in the Dutch national team ahead of this summer’s European Championships.

Inter are interested in taking the Dutchman on loan until the end of the season and are in talks with the players representatives, but United would not want to let the 23-year-old leave the club on a temporary basis.

As has been the case all along, Inter’s transfer market continues to depend on outgoing transfers and Christian Eriksen’s departure could free up space for Van de Beek.

Things are still at the early stages and it remains to be seen what will happen in the coming weeks.

Although Inter are working on a low-cost basis, this has not stopped them from trying to make the team better.
