Arturo Vidal will start in central midfield for Inter in this weekend’s Derby d’Italia match at home to Juventus, according to an Italian broadcaster this evening.
The Chilean national team player, who scored his first goal in an Inter shirt in Wednesday’s Coppa Italia win over Fiorentina, will play in the midfield alongside Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella, Sky Sport Italia report.
The report explains that Brozovic provides balance to the team whilst Barella provides dynamism and can set-up goals, as evidenced by his assist for Romelu Lukaku in yesterday’s victory in Florence.
Vidal was not initially in the starting line-up to take on Fiorentina but was drafted in when Stefano Sensi suffered a calf problem in the warm-up at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Sensi did not feel like taking any risks and did not play at all in the end, and while tests today excluded any kind of injury for the former Sassuolo man he will not be in the starting line-up come Sunday.
