BC Partners’ due diligence of Inter’s accounts will be a three-to-four-week process, according to an Italian broadcaster this evening.

Sky Sport Italia claim that once this process is completed, BC Partners will submit an offer and only then will it become apparent whether it will be for a minority or majority stake they look to take off owners Suning.

The British private equity fund have been heavily linked with investing Inter in the last week or so with speculation rife about whether they want a minority or majority stake and some reports have even stated a complete takeover of the Nerazzurri could be a possibility.

Reports in the media earlier on today have stated that BC Partners are not the only group with an interest in acquiring a stake of some sort in Inter.

Swedish group EQT and American group Arctos Sports Partners are reportedly in talks with Suning over investing in Inter but BC Partners are believed to be furthest ahead.
