Inter youngster Sebastiano Esposito has opted for a loan move to Venezia over other sides due to tactical reasons, an Italian media report has claimed tonight.

FCInterNews.it confirmed that Esposito will spend the second half of the 2020-21 season on loan with Serie B side and chose them due to Paolo Zanetti playing with two strikers in his system, thus increasing Esposito’s chances of playing time.

Esposito drew links to a whole array of clubs including Cittadella, Reggina and Pescara and this report also claims that he had hoped that Brescia, who also play with two strikers, would have come in for him but in the end they never did.

Esposito was due to spend the whole season on loan with SPAL but starting tomorrow, he will see the season out in Venice.

This season the highly rated 18-year-old has made 13 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has managed to score a single goal.

Venezia are 8th in the Serie B standings after 17 games.
