Matteo Darmian is expected to return to Inter training today, according to an Italian media report.

Tuttosport’s print edition this morning said the Italian wing-back could work again with the rest of his teammates ahead of this weekend’s Derby d’Italia clash against Juventus.

Darmian is carrying a slight injury after taking a knock during last Sunday’s draw at Roma and his situation will have to be monitored carefully, although the personalised program he followed at Appiano Gentile yesterday gave encouraging responses.

Matias Vecino and Andrea Pinamonti both trained on an individual basis yesterday, as did Stefano Sensi, even though tests ruled out any sort of injury for the former Sassuolo midfielder.

Sensi hopes to be on the substitutes bench on Sunday at San Siro against the Bianconeri.

The report goes on to explain that Antonio Conte is unlikely to spring any surprises as far as team selection is concerned for the big Serie A match at San Siro.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Hakimi, Vidal, Brozovic, Barella, Young; Lautaro, Lukaku.
