Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has taken to Instagram to celebrate being named the best Belgian player abroad for 2020.
The 27-year-old received 363 votes, 33 more than second placed Kevin de Bruyne and over 250 votes more than third placed Thibaut Courtois, in a poll conducted by Belgian publication HLN.
This is the first time that Lukaku has won the award, which had been won by Eden Hazard in each of the three previous years.
The former Manchester United player, who has 17 goals in 22 games this season, posted: “I want to thank God for putting me in this position.
“Thank you to my teammates at Inter and in the Belgian national team, you guys put me in great positions every time!
“Thank you to both coaching staffs for making me better.
“Best Belgian player abroad.”
