Giovanni Branchini believes that Sunday’s Derby d’Italia between Inter and Juventus will be a memorable clash, but admitted the circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic may take away from the event.

The FIFA agent spoke to Italian radio station Radio Deejay earlier today to discuss the Serie A clash at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday evening, with Inter looking to win the Derby d’Italia for the first time since September 2016.

With fans unable to attend due to the ongoing pandemic, in addition to more intensive playing schedule, Branchini conceded that part of the spectacle could be lost.

“It is certainly an interesting match because it has great significance. We must not forget that we continue to live with many problems and the absence of fans makes the match distorted,” Branchini claimed.

However, he remained adamant that the performances on the pitch would live up to expectations, as Inter look to bolster their Scudetto charge with victory.

“I expect a great match and I expect a reaction from Inter, they have plenty of potential.

“Juventus, meanwhile, have shown that they have a strong squad that is able to adapt to different situations,” Branchini concluded.

Victory for Inter would see the Nerazzurri move seven points clear of Juventus in the Serie A table, with the Bianconeri having a game in hand.
