Inter have finally bridged the gap that existed between themselves and Juventus in Serie A, Italian football journalist and Nerazzurri fan Fabrizio Biasin has argued.

Antonio Conte’s side ran out more than comfortable 2-0 winners over the Bianconeri at San Siro in last night’s Derby d’Italia, with goals coming from Arturo Vidal and Nicolo Barella.

Juventus have won the last nine Serie A titles in a row and last season was the closest Inter came to them in several years as they finished just one point behind them.

Inter, thanks to their win, can now boast a seven point advantage over their arch-rivals, who could be as much as 10 points off of top spot depending on how AC Milan fare against Cagliari tonight.

Biasin took to social media platform Twitter to share his thoughts following the game between the Nerazzurri and Bianconeri.

The known Inter fan posted: “When Inter-Juventus is not a contest, and it was Inter who dominated, it means that perhaps after many years the gap is finally filled.

“Juventus were helpless, Inter were splendid.”
