Inter have rejected an approach from Parma to sign centre-back Andrea Ranocchia, according to a report in Italy tonight.
Ranocchia has made just three appearances for the Nerazzurri in Serie A this season, the last of which came on November 22 during the 4-2 win against Torino.
Parma wanted Ranocchia to reinforce their threadbare defensive options in January but, according to Sportitalia, the Ducali received a firm no.
Inter are said to have no intention of letting the 32-year-old leave this month, despite his lack of game time under Antonio Conte.
Ranocchia was again an unused substitute on Sunday as Inter emphatically defeated Juventus 2-0 in the Derby d’Italia.
In total he has made 211 appearances for the Nerazzurri since joining from Genoa in 2011, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.
Inter loaned Ranocchia twice earlier in his career at the club, once to Sampdoria in 2016 and then to then-Premier League side Hull City the following year.
