Inter will not let Christian Eriksen re-join Tottenham Hotspur on a free loan deal in January, according to an Italian media report today.

The Nerazzurri are looking to offload the midfielder but CalcioMercato.com claim that the Dane will only be able to return to Spurs in an expensive loan deal and so long as they agree to pay all of his €7.5 million net annual salary.

Eriksen is said to have interest from a number of unidentified Premier League clubs and Inter would be prepared to negotiate more favourable terms with those teams, with intermediary figures already at work on their behalf.

They will not make any such concessions to Spurs, however, because their chairman Daniel Levy refused to grant them any discount when they signed Eriksen last January and Inter wish to adopt the same hard-line approach.

Inter would be willing to let Eriksen go to on a free loan basis so long as they agree to pay his wages.

This season the 28-year-old Denmark international has made 14 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has failed to make any goal contributions.

Eriksen was an unused substitute again on Sunday for Inter’s 2-0 win against Juventus in the Derby d’Italia.
