Marcelo Brozovic was praised by the Italian media today for a stellar performance during Inter’s Derby d’Italia win against Juventus last night.

Goals from Arturo Vidal and Nicolo Barella secured a 2-0 victory for Antonio Conte’s side as they opened up a seven-point gap over their arch rivals in Serie A.

Brozovic directed the Nerazzurri’s midfield majestically and received a rating of 7.5/10 in the print edition of Monday’s Corriere dello Sport.

“He was always involved in Inter’s play, constantly offering an option for whichever teammate was on the ball, and he protected the defence effectively,” they wrote.

“Tactically he didn’t make a single mistake.”

Barella was deemed to be the best performing player for the Nerazzurri as they won this fixture for the first time since 2016.

The former Cagliari midfielder set up Vidal’s opener before scoring Inter’s second goal of the game and was rewarded with a rating of 8/10.

Conte was rated 7.5/10 while Samir Handanovic, Alessandro Bastoni, Achraf Hakimi and Vidal were all rated 7/10.

Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Romelu Lukaku got 6.5/10 whilst Matteo Darmian, who came on for the final 20 minutes, was rated 6/10.

Lautaro Martinez received the team’s lowest rating with 5.5/10.
