Inter and Alexis Sanchez can breathe a sigh of relief after tests this morning ruled out a thigh injury for the Chilean forward, as per a report from an Italian broadcaster.

Sanchez’s physical condition had caused some concern following Sunday’s Derby d’Italia after he seemingly left the pitch at San Siro in pain.

Sky Sport Italia have reported, however, that the former Manchester United player only has a small bit of fatigue in the muscle and no serious problem.

Inter’s medical staff will manage the problem and take the necessary precautions with the aim of making him available to Antonio Conte for Saturday’s Serie A match away to Udinese.

Today’s news will no doubt come as a relief to Sanchez, who will most likely not have to miss out on several matches, as he has already done earlier this season due to other injuries.

Despite having a few injuries, Sanchez has still managed to make 17 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored two goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
