Benevento could move to sign Jiangsu FC striker Eder if a deal for Inter’s Andrea Pinamonti falls through, according to an Italian newspaper report today.

As per Corriere dello Sport’s print edition, Pinamonti remains a target for Benevento but if Inter do not sign a new striker, they are unlikely to allow the Italy under-21 international to leave the club.

If this happens, it will scupper the Giallorossi’s plans and they could well move to sign Italian-Brazilian forward Eder, who is expected to leave Jiangsu FC in January as Suning seek to reduce their wage bill amid financial difficulties because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eder, who has also been linked with a possible return to Inter, is said to want an 18-month contract and in addition to Benevento, both Parma and Udinese have an interest in signing him.

During his time in China, the 34-year-old has scored 32 goals in 64 appearances across all competitions and he has also provided 18 assists for his teammates.
