Antonio Conte has the joint best points-per-game record in Serie A for an Inter coach in the three-points-per-win era, alongside Jose Mourinho.

Stats company Opta revealed on Monday that of all coaches to have managed the Nerazzurri in more than 30 Serie A matches, Conte has an average of 2.18 points per game, which is identical to Mourinho’s record following his two seasons in Italy.

Conte has been in charge of Inter since the summer of 2019 and has managed them in 55 Serie A games, winning 35, drawing 14 and losing just six matches.

Mourinho meanwhile managed Inter in 76 league matches during his spell in charge of the club, winning 49, drawing 19 and losing eight.

Conte led Inter to a second-place finish in Serie A in his first season in charge and has his side well on course to at least repeat that, if not go all the way and win the the title.
