Inter’s ‘Three Bs’ In Barella, Brozovic & Bastoni Key To Serie A Title Chances, Italian Media Argue

Inter will be reliant upon the form of their ‘three Bs’ to challenge for the Serie A title this season, a report in the Italian media argued today.

As per Tuesday’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte’s side have three main strengths that they must look to exploit if they wish to become champions in May.

Starting with tactics, the report points out that Conte has made Inter unpredictable to play against despite his decision to always play with a 3-5-2 system and rarely deviate from his preferred starting XI, with Romelu Lukaku, Achraf Hakimi and Nicolo Barella highlighted as key players.

The second weapon at Inter’s disposal is said to be the increased number of goal-scorers in recent weeks, with Hakimi, Barella and Arturo Vidal decreasing the burden in front of goal for Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

The other strong point is Conte’s three Bs, namely Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Alessandro Bastoni, who all impressed during Sunday’s Derby d’Italia win over Juventus.

Gazzetta explained how all three players have had question marks hanging over them at some point during their Inter careers, all of which however have now disappeared.

Inter sit three points behind league leaders AC Milan and will conclude the first half of their league campaign at Udinese on Saturday.
