Inter’s owners Suning have delayed two club initiatives as they continue talks with BC Partners over buying into the Nerazzurri, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, the Chinese conglomerate have decided to halt their search for a new main shirt sponsor to replace the outgoing Pirelli.

In addition to this, they have postponed the launch of the club’s new logo, which was revealed earlier this week amid talk – later denied by Inter’s CEO Alessandro Antonello – that the club would also change their name.

The Turin-based publication explained why alongside the inevitable economic reasons behind Suning’s decisions, political factors must also be taken into account given the way the Chinese government control the economy.

In short, all things that could have a major impact on Inter’s future have been put on hold for the time being.

Suning are widely reported to be in exclusive talks with BC Partners over the potential sale of Inter.

BC Partners are conducting their due diligence of the Nerazzurri’s accounts, a process that is particularly complex and is unlikely to be completed within the next two or three weeks.
