Inter’s Coppa Italia quarter-final tie against city rivals AC Milan will take place on Tuesday, the Lega Serie A confirmed today.

The second Derby della Madonnina of the season will kick-off at 20:45 CET on January 26 and the announcement from Lega Serie A comes after some uncertainty as to when the game would take place.

Inter beat Fiorentina 2-1 after extra-time in the last 16 to make it to this stage while AC Milan played out a goalless draw with Torino before beating them 5-4 on penalties.

Inter will no doubt be looking to exact revenge next week having lost the previous meeting earlier on in the season, with a double from Zlatan Ibrahimovic securing a 2-1 win for Stefano Pioli’s side.

The winner of this match will take on the winner of Juventus versus SPAL at home in the semi-finals, with both legs of the semi-finals due to be played in February.
