Andrea Pinamonti is all but certain to remain at Inter beyond the end of the January transfer window, according to an Italian media report today.

CalcioMercato.com said Pinamonti seems destined to stay with the Nerazzurri partly because the interest in his services have cooled but also because of Inter’s off-field problems.

Pinamonti has been strongly linked with a loan move to Benevento, with Crotone, Parma and Bologna also reportedly interested, but Antonio Conte is believed to have vetoed any departure until Inter have signed a new fourth-choice striker.

It has been widely reported that Pinamonti would have to leave before Inter could bring anyone in, but the club’s economic plight has put a stop to all their January transfer activity and that seems unlikely to change, unless Christian Eriksen is sold.

This season Pinamonti has been limited to just three appearances across all competitions under Antonio Conte, in which he has failed to make any goal contributions.
